Bullypulpit plays bluegrass music because it makes us and our audiences happy. We are a five piece acoustic band playing typical bluegrass instruments of guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle and bass. We cover traditional bluegrass music done in our own way. Listen in for songs on the common themes in bluegrass: Love, death, homesickness, railroading, crime and punishment, post-industrialization and corn liquor. We also do instrumental fiddle tunes and some good old Gospel music. Everyone in the band sings some songs. Bullypulpit Bluegrass band has been playing around southern Minnesota for over 15 years. We’ve given about 25-30 performances each of the past few years.
The members of the band are Mary Flanagan on fiddle, Joe Kunkel on banjo, Chris Walchuk on mandolin, Anne Goedtke guitar and Ron Affolter on bass.
