Botanical Printing on the Farm

Botanical printing, also known as eco - printing is a natural dye technique of binding, bundling and steaming plant stuffs with fiber to get a truly one-of-a-kind print! Join us on the farm and make your own botanical printed silk scarf! These scarves make a colorful addition to any outfit, and also make incredibly special gifts for loved ones.
We will begin the class with a short tour of our dye farm, and then harvest and pick flowers for our projects! We will then design and create our scarves. While they are “cooking,” we will have time to talk deeply about natural dye techniques, what sustainability can look like, and the complex histories of textiles.
This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to further their knowledge of plants, color and their relationship to fiber.
