Whether you prefer to listen to audiobooks or read with your own internal voice, a book should not be experienced alone.
As an English teacher with over five years experience in the classroom, I am an advocate for literature from marginalized writers and aim to engage with uncomfortable issues such as gender, race, and poverty through a colorful blend of both critically acclaimed and digestible texts.
We need an accommodating book club that encourages close reading, drawing connections between other texts, and future implications. Therefore, I hope that you may join us on the third Tuesday of every month from 6 PM - 8PM at Auspicious Brew because the more people who participate in the discussion, the greater meaning we can elicit from the book."
