Fiction 440 - Write, Rite, Right

Fiction 440, Lansing’s home for flash fiction story writing. The next event will be held Monday July 29th. The event will be held at Jimmy’s Pub 16830 Chandler Rd in East Lansing. If you are not familiar with Fiction 440 it is a gathering of short fiction writers. Usually there are 3 words supplied that are writing prompts and must be included in the text. As the name implies the stories should not contain more than 440 words and should also be fiction. They should not be poetry and they should not be excepts from larger works.

If you don’t like to write, but do like to listen to stories, you are welcome to come. People may begin to arrive at 5:30 for a chance to get something to eat, something to drink, and a chance to socialize. Stories begin at 6:30.

The words for this event are homophones. Though it may sound similar to another word, it is not that word. Homophones are words that sound alike (at least in modern English), but are spelled different. Our three words for this event are Write, Rite, and Right.
