Have you ever seen thousands of bees at work inside a beehive?
Start your day off with a 1.5-hour educational and interactive beekeeping tour led by our experienced beekeeper to learn about the fascinating lives of bees and how they make their liquid gold (honey). Taste samples of their work, then put on a beekeeping suit and head into the apiary to see honeybees at work inside the hive.
Next, you will join the educator to take part in a 1.5-hour full sensory exploration of honey as you discover the wide variety of colors, aromas, textures, and flavors of 7 different honeys from across the United States. What words would you use to describe honey? Most people simply describe it as "sweet." This honey exploration experience will expand your palette, and you will leave with 40+ different words to describe honey! After learning about how to taste honey to identify the plants used in making each honey, join us at our Honey Bar to taste up to 20 additional honeys from around the world, armed with your knowledge of how to best appreciate each honey's unique aroma and flavor profile.
