Cosmic Colors: A Planetarium Journey Through the Science of Color

Join Highland Community Library and the Johnstown Children's Museum at Peoples Natural Gas Park on Tuesday, June 24 for Cosmic Colors, a vibrant kickoff to the library's SummerQuest program for kids ages 6–12! Dive into hands-on activities and colorful stories all about the science of light and color—learn why the sky is blue, why Mars is red, and journey through the electromagnetic spectrum.
The program for kids ages 6-12 starts at 10:00 am with stories, a Cosmic Colors planetarium show, and fun activities and crafts. A second Cosmic Colors show will run at 11:00 am. Younger space explorers (ages 2–8) can enjoy their own special planetarium show, One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure, at 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. Encores of both shows start at 12:30.
