Sunday at Shingle Creek

For those of us not going on Saturday or who want to paddle 2 days in a row. Letβs get together and paddle into the cypress stand at Shingle creek. This magical place had lots of shade to pause and absorb the magic.
This paddle requires you to steer around cypress tree trunks both with the current and then back out against it. I give this an adventure rating of 2 because of the steering skills involved. Iβve taken relatively newbies here and they were fine as long as they sat and paddled. We usually paddle out and back at a slow pace stopping to chat and snack in about 4 hours. Or we can make it longer by paddling to the other side.
Bring all your safety gear, snacks, water, sunscreen.
