Mahler’s Lieder aus “Des Knaben Wunderhorn," with the Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra

This fall, mezzo-soprano Ann Fogler will appear as a featured soloist with the Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra in a moving performance of Gustav Mahler’s Lieder aus “Des Knaben Wunderhorn.” A highlight of the orchestra’s 2025 season, this program showcases Mahler’s richly expressive settings of German folk poetry, known for their emotional depth and vivid storytelling.

Program selections include:
– Rheinlegendchen
– Wer hat dies Liedlein erdacht?
– Wo die schönen Trompeten blasen
– Das irdische Leben
– Verlor’ne Müh

The performance will take place on Sunday, September 7 at 4:00 PM at the Church of the Abiding Presence on the campus of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Ann is honored to join the Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra for this collaboration and looks forward to bringing these haunting and poetic works to life.
