The Peace Dove – Flying With Hope

Every Friday, a peace dove flies from the Nobel Peace Center across City Hall Square. It carries with it a message of hope. The first peace dove in 2025 will fly on 9 May.

The white dove is one of the world's foremost symbols of peace. At the same time, carrier pigeons have been important messengers for hundreds of years. Every Friday in the summer months, a dove flies from the windows of the Nobel Peace Center with a message of hope. As the dove flies over City Hall Square, the city hall bells play John Lennon's song "Give Peace a Chance."

Join us for a magical moment at noon every Friday outside the Nobel Peace Center! The message will be announced some minutes before 12:00 before we release the peace dove. Attendance is open for all and free.
