Daylily Propagation Workshop and Plant Sale
June 28 9am -12pm.
Participants will learn three methods to propagate daylilies: dividing clumps, rooting proliferations, and making seed. The first two methods are asexual methods of propagation and yield plants identical to the parent plant. Come prepared to get dirty as you will help divide a clump and replant part of it in the garden.
The basics of hybridizing daylilies will be demonstrated and discussion of how to choose parents and how to select seedlings will depend on participants’ interest level.
Participant will receive two fans from the clump they help divide and also a small package of seeds they can plant at home.
A daylily sale will be ongoing during the workshop.
Fee: $15 ($5 for members) — Register Here: https://form.jotform.com/251645749169975
Note: There is no fee to visit the Plant Sale portion of this event.
