Speak I Will Staged Reading

Speak I Will is a collection of Fractured ShakespeareTM monologues
that rearranges and recontextualizes the words of Shakespeare to find
fresh meaning from the age-old text. Drawing text from 32 of
Shakespeare’s plays, 4 Sonnets and Double Falsehood (written by Lewis
Theobald, based on Shakespeare’s “lost play” Cardenio),the actors
combine the words of Beatrice, King Lear, Lady Macbeth, Henry V,
Katherine “The Shrew” and more, to explore issues of gender, power,
identity, and love.
