Rubin First Look at Green Bank Observatory

We invite the public to join Observatory staff for the first look at images taken by the world's largest camera, the NSF & DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory!
Beginning at 10 AM in the Jansky Auditorium, GBO's Jansky Fellow, Dr. Adam Dong will provide an overview of the telescope and the incredible discoveries we can expect from this instrument over the next decade.
The Observatory will host a coffee break with breakfast pastries at 10:45 AM before Rubin's First Look Livestream begins at 11 AM and those first images are released at 11:20 AM.
Children's activities will be offered from 10-11 AM.
