River sweep 2025

FRANKFORT, KY RIVER SWEEP 2025 The Frankfort Boat Club and Canoe Kentucky are conducting a river sweep on Saturday, June 28 in conjunction with the Kentucky River Authority. Volunteers are needed to help pick-up trash along the river and should meet at the Frankfort Boat Club Dock at 9 AM for registration and to be assigned to boats and canoes. Canoe KY is providing 10 free canoe rentals for the event on a first come first serve basis. Participants should wear sturdy shoes or boots and clothing that can get wet. Trash bags and gloves will be supplied. Free lunch for participating volunteers at the conclusion of the river sweep will be provided by Staxx BBQ and T-shirts will be provided for all participants while supplies last.
