"A Stately Experience" - A behind the scenes look at British stately homes and castles.

Chris Hagon shares insights from his unique career journey, transitioning from the UK Court Service to heritage management. After working as a Property Manager for the National Trust at a stately home in Derbyshire and later at two privately owned castles, Chris moved to New Zealand in 2005. Here, he continues his heritage work with Heritage New Zealand and volunteers at Couldrey House in Wenderholm Regional Park.

His illustrated talk, "A Stately Experience", offers a behind-the-scenes look at life in British stately homes and castles, concluding with reflections on New Zealand’s heritage sector and the importance of supporting it.
