Powertex Fungi bottle or vase Workshop
The Galleria - Burton Latimer
Sunday 3rd August10am-2.30pm
£60 per person.
Powertex is a water based, non toxic fabric hardener and sculpting medium. Powertex can be used on indoor projects as well as becoming weather/water resistant, once it is fully dried (approximately 3 weeks).
This workshop is run by Michelle Melville certified Master powertex tutor.
In this class you will be using powertex and stoneart powder to design and create either a stone effect fungi bottle (70cl) or a stone effect cylindrical vase. I will guide you through making your stone effect on your chosen vessel, you will then apply various textured materials before adding some handmade fungi to add interest and detail to your chosen vessel. You will then colour your bottle using bister spray (walnut ink) and then dry brush with white powertex to finish the stone effect and add dry brushed pigments to you fungi. The exact colour and design are your choice and down to your own imagination. Once finished you take your finished piece home with you.
Everything You need to make your bottle or vase will be provided including gloves and apron. Please do wear old clothes you don't mind getting a little messy.
Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment, a £10 deposit is required upon booking. To book and secure your place please call The Galleria on 07525 083130 or head on over to www.facebook.com/thegalleriabl
