Tracking Pollinators: Conservation at Home

Pollinators are in your garden, along your hiking trails, and even along the side of the road, but many species are declining across the globe. To save them, we first need to learn more about them.

Join the Vermont Center for Ecostudies (VCE) at VINS for a walk and talk through the meadow and pollinator gardens. Become more familiar with our local pollinators and efforts in the Upper Valley to conserve them, and discover ways to get involved in conservation right in your backyard.

Details for Participants:
This program will be held outside and include a short walk through the pollinator gardens and meadow. Please wear weather-appropriate, tick-conscious clothing.

Bring a smartphone to join VCE’s community science projects on iNaturalist during the walk.
This walk and talk is designed for an adult audience, but all ages are welcome.

Rain Date:
Weather can be unpredictable. If rainy weather forces us to postpone this event, VINS will notify participants to confirm attendance for the rain date.

Presenter Bios:
This event will be co-led by Dana Williams, Community Science Coordinator for VCE, and by members of VCE’s Plant Provenance team. Learn more about Vermont Center for Ecostudies at vtecostudies.org.
