Birding and Seven Islands: Summer Songbirds

Join Ranger Clare for a guided morning birding walk at Seven Islands State Birding Park! This walk will focus on spotting and listening for some of our signature summer residents, including the vibrant Indigo Bunting, the secretive Yellow-breasted Chat, and the energetic Common Yellowthroat.

We’ll hike approximately 2–3 miles on both paved and natural trails with gentle hills and open views of grassland, forest, and river habitats—perfect for observing these colorful birds. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced birder, this walk is a great way to connect with nature and practice your identification skills.

Please meet Ranger Clare at the Bluebird Barn at 8:00 AM. Bring binoculars, water, and dress for the weather with sturdy walking shoes. Binoculars will be available to borrow if you don't have your own.

If you have any questions, please contact Ranger Clare at Y2xhcmUgISBkYXR0aWxvIHwgdG4gISBnb3Y=.
