Volunteer Hearing offers a full array of mobile audiology (hearing) services. Their Audiologists, Dr. Tabitha Rossini and Dr. Kathleen Stanford, are Doctors of Audiology with 15 years of experience.

They provide hearing testing on-site with background noise testing available.

Hearing aids - fit/issue new devices and work with older models/devices

Assess/program current hearing aids

Tinnitus assessment and management

Volunteer Hearing is offering hearing testing to all the residents of Tellico at no cost to you with a free hearing aid demo. WHY do we recommend getting your hearing tested? Because untreated hearing loss has been linked to dementia and cognitive decline, along with depression/anxiety. It's important to TREAT your hearing loss, when present.

Who should sign up? Anyone who exhibits any of the signs below.

Signs of Hearing Loss:

1) "I can hear, but I can't understand" -- or people sound like they're mumbling

2) "I can't hear in background noise" or if there 2 or 3 people or more talking in the room

3) Ringing or buzzing in one or both ears (tinnitus)

4) Frequently asking people to repeat themselves, or says "huh?" "what?" a lot

5) If you are age 50 years, or older -- it is recommended to obtain a baseline hearing evaluation (1 in 3 age 65+ have hearing loss)

6) Struggle to hear on the phone, or TV

7) Struggle to hear if someone is facing away from you, or at a distance

8) Has fullness or pressure feelings in the ears

9) Speaks loudly
