Avis Fisher Memorial at Vermont Lutheran Church:
Avis grew up on the farm adjacent to the church that is now the Legacy Prairie. She was a lead donor in the purchase of the land. Her family, the Wilkins’, has a long history in Vermont Township. The 1847 homestead on Hwy JJ is still owned by the family. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Vermont Lutheran Church.
