City of Des Plaines Community Fireworks

Kick off your Independence Day celebrations at the Des Plaines Community Fireworks on Sunday, June 29, at Oakton College! Dance to the DJ, enjoy yard games, grab a bite to eat from a food truck, and settle in on your blankets and lawn chairs to watch the fireworks extravaganza.

- Admission is free. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the fireworks show begins at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.)
- This event is weather-dependent and updates will be communicated through our Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofdesplaines.
- No alcohol is permitted on Oakton property.
- It is strongly recommended that pets be left at home for this event.
- There is no parking allowed in the lanes of, grassy areas, or unpaved areas on College or Circle Drives.
