CANCELLED - The lunch & Learn is CANCELLED for Friday, June 27th.
On Friday, June 27, 2025 the Mellon Veterans and First Responders Outreach Campus (MVOC) “Lunch & Learn” presentation will be presented by Doug Squeglia and Bill Welch. The presentation will be held at the Ridge Building, 16 West Division Street, North East, PA aboard the Mellon Veterans Outreach Campus. All Veterans, First Responders and their guests are invited to lunch at 11:30 a.m. The presentation will begin at noon.
In their presentation, they will be speaking on D-Day and those individuals from Erie County that were killed that day. Doug Squeglia retired from Parker Hannifin, formerly Lord Corporation. He has been researching the lives of all 732 names on the Erie World War II Memorial since 2015 and is getting close to completing the task. Bill Welch retired from Mercyhurst University. Mr. Squeglia and Mr. Welch are working together to include those biographies in a book about Erie County's role in World War II from the homefront to those who served at home and abroad.
