Free Vessel Safety Checks

From new boat owners to seasoned pros, everyone is excited to hit the water as boating season begins. But before doing so, it is important for boaters to make sure that their vessel is seaworthy (or “lakeworthy”) and that they are prepared for anything that may come their way.

To help ensure everyone’s safety on the water, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit is hosting Vessel Safety Check event on May 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Herschel King Park in Palm Coast.

During the event, which will take place in the southwest corner of the boat ramp, Marine Unit deputies will perform free safety inspections for boats and provide information on safe boating practices.
