Reimagine Resistance 8

It may take some resistance and some reimagining, but we are going to take our country back! Our Reimagine Resistance events are open to everyone and designed to inspire ideas, kindle spirits, build community, and help us find better ways to be. Events feature guest speakers, songs, poetry, open mic sharing, and collective conversations.
With a theme of “Resistance through Knowledge” this week’s Reimagine Resistance event will feature two particularly interesting professors as guest speakers.
Richard Canevez from Michigan Tech will be making a stop to speak with us on his bike tour across the US in which he is documenting resistance activities that he is encountering along the way in preparation for a forthcoming book. We’re excited to hear about his journey!
Also Christine Jeske will be joining us. She teaches cultural anthropology at Wheaton College. Her numerous books include The Laziness Myth and Racial Justice for the Long Haul, and she authors the Just Learning Newsletter. She is a seasoned speaker who is sure to capture our attention and give us some new nuggets of wisdom.
We’ll also have music and a chance for you to share your thoughts, announcements, or whatever feels needed. Hope to see you there!
