This experiential workshop is for mental health professionals seeking CEUs, individuals who identify as emotional eaters, and other professional caregivers desiring to support others to a healthier relationship with food.
Objectives:
1. Understand what emotional eating is and is not.
2. Learn how to define a client’s food relationship and identify its origin.
3. Learn how to improve a client’s ability to identify and manage emotions to reduce instances of emotional eating.
4. Learn techniques to calm food noise to create a healthier food relationship.
5. Develop the ability to teach clients to use behavioral activation to reduce self-shaming and negative self-talk regarding food behaviors.
