Join us at Alta Vita as we learn from Dr. Anne Giesen about caring for your self while caring for others.

What are issues that come up when we care for others?
Control issues? Power dynamics?
Sometimes when we care for someone with impaired cognition, it feels like we have to make all the decisions for them in order to keep them safe and well.
How can we allow someone to safely make the decisions that they are able to make?
And what about the person who is not easy to care for?
How can we advocate for our loved one and also protect and advocate for ourselves?
What are the gifts or benefits we gain from caring for others?

We will explore these issues and discuss some strategies we can employ in an attempt to keep ourselves healthy and well as we care for others.
