Elvis’ at the Marathon

We’d love to see you join us during the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon and/or the Grandma’s Marathon. Every year we dress in costume and have a blast cheering on runners. During the half marathon we dress in pajamas and robes. We bring our coffee, Mimosa’s, and doughnuts and hit the race course around 6:00am. There’s a short break between races so we go and change into Elvis costumes, break out the music, (and beer) and cheer on the full marathon. Stop by any time during the marathon. PM me if you need address or more info. The trail down to the race course is just west of our house. We are at approximately the 18 mile mark just a block or so north of Brighton Beach and you can park on East Superior street. We will mark the trail so you can come any time! We cheer at the race, and then go back to the house for lunch around noon. BYOB, but there will be some beer and water, we’ll provide the fun and lunch/snacks. If you need to sit during the marathon, you might want to bring a portable chair to the race course. We’d LOVE to see a bundle of Elvis’ and disco dancers and any silly costume (even your every day clothes!) the runners absolutely love seeing you there cheering!
