‘I’m Still Here’ screening

The Brazilian winner of this year’s Oscar for Best International Feature Film. Not just another political film about a military dictatorship (in this case 1970s Brazil) but “a human, intense, and brutally intimate portrait of a family unraveling under overwhelming, uncontrollable forces”. Fernanda Torres is outstanding as the campaigning wife and mother, whose husband is abducted by the military police. “A masterpiece, pure magic, beautifully filmed … an important story that everyone should watch and talk about”.
