Ellis Brigham athlete James Rudge on his journey to climbing in the Paralympics
Come and join us for a screening of 'Able' followed by a Q&A with James Rudge. After years of waiting, paraclimbing is finally making its first appearance at the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles. For James, one of the GB team's leading para climbers and long-term Ellis Brigham athlete, this is his chance to prove himself. With the final qualification event just around the corner, James battles with self-doubt and questions whether he's truly worthy of a spot. Workshop James will be at running a free workshop with some challanges so you can expereince para-climbing. If you would like to attend, please arrive for 5pm start. This is free and included in your screening ticket! Please note that the ticket price does not include entry to climb. About James James Rudge has always been interested in adventure through various sports. Parkour was what drew him in from a young age. After many years of practising this, he decided to give climbing a go and attend the national Paraclimbing series. James has almost 10 years experience as a volunteer and advocate for inclusive climbing and runs regular adaptive climbing sessions supported by his not-for-profit, Grit Collective CIC Ltd.
