Healthy Shoulders: Foundations of Sun Salutations

The neck and shoulders can hold physical and emotional strain brought on by our modern lives. Working long hours on the computer, gripping the steering wheel in the car, and overall stress in life build unwanted tension in our upper body. This combined with the repetitive nature of our vinyasa flow practice can cause imbalances in our shoulder girdle.

Join Jenn Usherr in this workshop to balance and strengthen different areas of the shoulder girdle with muscle activation techniques and mobility movements. Familiarize and fine tune the essential shoulder actions in the of Sun Salutation A (Chatarunga, Upward Facing Dog, and Downward Facing Dog).

Then unlock tension and strain in the upper body by creating space, hydrating, and relaxing the muscles in and around the neck and shoulders through refined mobility techniques, neuro-flossing and myofascial release. Leave feeling lighter and standing taller!
