Following the death of their mother, a Thai-American brother and sister from Queens navigate life in the city and beyond. Mourning in their own subdued ways, Jamie starts her new job at a Zoo while Narin continues his work at a neighborhood Ji-Jitsu gym. After Jamie has an awkward interaction with a guy she's seeing, she decides to plan an impromptu trip for her and her brother to get out of the city. Along the way, and upon their return to New York, the two siblings face a series of unexpected accounts.
