Come on out for the day just to learn about F3L.
The Baltimore Area Soaring Society and the Silent Knights Soaring Society are jointly hosting an F3L contest on Saturday June 7, 2025. It will be held on SKSS’s immaculately maintained flying field situated in Delaware’s White Clay Creek State Park.
This event will be strictly for bungee launched planes. Registration at 9am, flying starts at 10am. Weather date is June 8.
F3L is a class for radio-controlled thermal soaring gliders. The models feature a maximum two (2) meter span; are primarily of wooden construction; and are controlled only by rudder, elevator, and spoiler(s). Almost any woody 2M would qualify.
Pilot registration is below. Contest fee $20, will include parking for out of state vehicles.
