Numerous tales suggest that the manor is haunted, with the Higgon family, a prominent Pembrokeshire lineage, linked to the eerie occurrences. Lt Col John Henry Victor Higgon (1902-1987), the last resident and one of three family members to serve as High Sheriff of Pembrokeshire, is often mentioned in these stories. Guests and staff have reported unusual phenomena, such as footsteps, singing, and voices emanating from empty rooms, along with shadowy figures seen wandering through deserted hallways.
