The title of the event is drawn (like fresh spring water) from within the pages of Dogs of Mariupol by Tom Mutch – a New Zealand writer and journalist, a cosmopolitan and a war correspondent reporting from the most intense conflict zones across the globe.
Tom, our friend and a frequent guest of UKRAiNATV over the past three years, spent many months in Ukraine. He wrote a book that premiered in London a few weeks ago, and on June 20 will have its Polish launch in Kraków. A meeting with the author, readings, and a chance to buy the book with a personal dedication will open a long, layered, and multidimensional evening — a farewell to the seventh season of UKRAiNATV, and perhaps also a farewell to the UKRAiNATV format we've all grown used to… We’re saying goodbye in a unique way and welcoming another burning summer — in the heat of global warming and geopolitical tensions — IRL, offline, and in club mode.
It will be sentimental, mystical, but also sensual — because above all, it’s Kupala Night, Sobótka, fire and water, love and death — the very essence of our magnificent times. And nothing f***ing ends — everything transforms, transmutes, and renders — and from the black soil of despair, the golden honey of the future flows… luv!!!
