The Pride Collective in coordination with PFLAG Grinnell-Poweshiek County are so excited to invite you to the Inaugural Big Gay BBQ!
Join us June 28th from 11-2 where you can expect all the things you know and love about a Mid West BBQ (Grilling, Cornhole, Music, and Family) with a Big Gay twist (Rainbows, Pride Flags, and Fabulousness).
We are striving to build community here in Grinnell so we are inviting LGBTQIA+ and Allies to show up and show out. This is a family-friendly event for all people of all ages to come and spend time with old friends and hopefully meet new ones.
On the Grinnell UCC lawn there will be food by Hy-Vee provided free of charge (but donations are always welcome). This area will also have tables and chairs for conversations, board games, and information on community resources.
Across the street in the Central Park shelter house there will be yard games, face painting, crafts for the kids, music by a local DJ, photo ops, and more. The splash pad will be turned on and maybe even a water blaster or two.
Dress code is casual and the only thing you need to bring is yourself and maybe a lawn chair or picnic blanket. Leave the rest to us. Can't wait to see you there!
