60th Old Time Power Show with the 5th Annual RC Construction Show

Hey folks it is getting that time of year again. A few locals and I set up an outdoor event here at the Antique Acres show grounds. They bring in a couple skid loader buckets of dirt and I set up my conveyors, trommel, bridge and dump pits. We set up a tent last year over the work area for shade and keep us dry just in case of rain, set up some tables and hope to do so again this year. Being an outdoor event mother nature can always ruin it for us, but I take the good with the bad. A bad day with RC's is still better than any day at work!
If you want to bring a couple items to run that is fine as well as I am sure I can find something for you to run if you don't.
I plan on being there on Thursday for tent set up and get the territory marked out.
A lot going on at the show besides what we are doing. Tractor pulls, live music, flea markets, wood carving, threshing, black smithing, all kinds of antique tractors and steam engines on display and much more. Featured tractors this year are Massey Tractors.
This will be my 5th year of doing this myself but has been going on longer than that. Always a fun time talking to people who might be interested in the hobby. I usually spend more time talking than playing.
I am usually there early in the morning for breakfast that they serve on the grounds. I unpack and pack up every day since it is an outdoor event. I will have my enclosed trailer on site and can be locked up every night and used for storage.
I am usually there every morning at 7am when the gates open and go for breakfast served on the grounds. Depending on how the day goes I will run until dark every day except Sunday. Planning on packing it all up after 5pm. I only live about 8 miles from the show grounds, so it is an easy show for me to do. I myself do not charge for the show to participate, but it is your responsibility for your own admission. I won't turn down a donation to help cover the tent expense though.
