FREE Quilt & Genealogy Program: The Applegate Trail Quilt
Advertisement
The Applegate Trail Quilt was completed in 1987 by the Jacksonville Museum Quilters. Using photographs taken in 1976, Artist Evelyn Williams and Master Quilter Dora Scheidecker created a tribute to the re-enactment of a historic covered wagon train's travels from Keno to Jacksonville in southern Oregon. Local historian Sue Waldron will share more about this hand quilted wall hanging with detailed applique images and delicate embroidery and about "Wagon Master" George McUne's adventure in this program in the "Quilts and Genealogy" series.
