Wanapum Native American Discovery Unit

The Wanapum Heritage Center will be showcasing their award-winning, customized motor home on the front lawn of the Burbank Library. This mobile exhibit highlights the history and culture of the Wanapum people. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the Wanapum’s traditional and modern way of life, including their dietary habits, cultural practices, and stewardship of important resources. Inside the vehicle, known as the WNADU, attendees can experience a miniature reconstruction of the historical Priest Rapids Wanapum Village, as well as view various artifacts such as stone tools, mortars, and projectile points.
