Summer Science: Make a Marble Run

Join us in the community room to make marble runs! Depending on the amount of attendees, kids will be paired into groups to work on creating different marble runs. During or after each challenge the facilitator will ask the groups questions such as;

- How many cardboard tubes do you have? How big of a marble run do you think you can build? What can you use to catch your marble at the end?
- Is it important to start the marble run high above the ground?
- What do you have to think about when connecting the tubes?
- Can you figure out why the marble didn't make it to the end?
- What do you have to do to fix your problem?

Can't make it to the library? Here's what you'll need:

Many toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls
Cardboard
Painters tape
Scissors
