Registration for Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) Fitness Program

SAIL (Stay Active & Independent for Life) is a 12-week falls prevention fitness program designed for older adults that focuses on strength, balance, and mobility - which reduces the risk of falls and improves overall quality of life.

SAIL Fitness Class Benefits:
- Reduce risks of falling
- Improve balance, mobility and leg strength - all known risk factors for falls
- Maintain independence by building strength, improving balance and agility

SAIL Fitness Classes Include:
- Exercises that can be done sitting or standing
- Suited for all fitness levels
- Fitness checks are done in the first class and at 12 weeks to track your progress. Fitness checks include:
- 8-Foot Timed Up and Go
- Bicep Curls
- Chair Sit-to-Stand

Who Can Attend SAIL Fitness Classes:
- Any older adult
- Anyone who has fallen in the past year or is fearful of falling
- Anyone looking to add exercise to their routine

Registration:
- Required for both new and returning participants
- Register in person at the Glasgow Senior Center on Monday, June 30 from 10 am - 11 am
- If you can't make the in person registration day, please call FMDH EMS at (406) 228-3468 to register.

Class Location:
- Glasgow Senior Center

Date & Time:
- Every Monday and Thursday from 10 am - 11 am for 12 weeks beginning Monday, June 30
