Summer Photo Walks with Ms. Jordan

Ages 8-12

Join Ms. Jordan for a summer walk around the grounds of Markeim and its surrounding neighborhood to capture the beauty of the season through photography. Markeim supplies the cameras; You supply the creativity! Students are also welcome to photograph with their phones, if they prefer.

July 10: Cyanotype Printing
Collect materials outside to create multiple nature themed cyanotype prints.

July 17: Colors + Textures Photo Walk
Students will focus on finding colors and textures within nature. Following our walk we will have a mini class critique & discussion where students can create a digital collage of their work.

July 24: Scavenger Hunt Photo Walk
Students will be given a list of items to find and photograph during their walk.

July 31: Animals and Pets
Students will photograph animals and pets that they observe during our walk outside the Markeim grounds.
