First Day of Summer Celebration

Day 2 of the Monticello Spirit festival is a Celebration to the first day of Summer. The day’s activities begin at 8:00 am with a 5K run, and a biscuit and gravy breakfast!

At 9:00 am our free crowd participation events begin and go on until 9:00 pm! Please feel free to bring the kids to our 9am morning stretch-yoga session on the courthouse lawn. And from there, you and your children can enjoy a day of family fun including a bubble gum blowing contest, a pizza eating contest, a hula hoop contest, a jump rope contest, a hotdog eating contest, and a chicken wing eating contest. Free and open to all festival attendees.

Let’s also mention, Six bands playing from Noon to Midnight, a classic car cruise in, a cornhole tournament, a talent show, dozens of craft vendors, food trucks, beer/wine garden, cash walks (free money), robotics demonstrations, community surveys, kids games, and so much more!!
