Join Free Ride for a supported twilight ride from our Daly Street site to Honiana Te Puni Reserve in Pito-one. Come early to get briefed on our ride, all are welcome, but we need everyone to register and there are limited spaces available.
When we arrive at Honiana Te Puni Reserve, we'll be welcomed by iwi mana whenua Taranaki Whanui at the Tāwharau Pods. They will share the history of the whenua and significance of Matariki with us over some hot chocolates before we ride back to Daly Street.
We will ride as a group along Te Awa Kairangi to Honiana Te Puni Reserve. Children will be supported, helmets must be worn. The route will be lit, but we will have ride leaders and supporters to help at every major crossing. Please arrive early to start the ride close to 5pm. Please wear warm gear, and bring a rain jacket and some water.
