After our AGM and General Meeting on also taking place on Tuesday July 8th (which starts at 9.00am) Pauline will be presenting a PD workshop called " Elegant Selling for Artists". It is all about how to sell your art without feeling icky, uncomfortable or salesy.
Selling is not something you do to someone. It’s not about making people buy. It’s about an elegant exchange between artist and buyer that makes both parties happy.
In this interactive talk and workshop we’ll share what we know about selling – what works, what doesn’t. We’ll discuss the purpose of selling you art – it may be to feed yourself or to feed your addiction to art supplies. Or something even deeper.
We’ll discuss practical strategies like:
How to price your art
Telling the stories of your art
Asking good questions to engage the potential buyer
The elegant close – how to ask for the sale - without squirming
How to upsell by offering more of what they want
How to let go of your art
Left brain vs right brain selling
BONUS HANDOUTS:
Sample questions and ideas on how to engage the prospective buyer
The pricing calculator for selling through galleries or exhibitions. Get the payout you want so you’re never disappointed.
BURNING QUESTIONS? If you have specific questions, please email them to cGF1bGluZSB8IHBhdWxpbmVicmlnaHQgISBjb20= at least two days before the 8th July so we can answer them in the workshop.
