Solar Viewing (weather permitting)

We invite you to get a safe, view of the sun this summer by looking through our solar telescopes. You'll see sunspots on the photosphere, prominences in the chromosphere, and learn what those terms mean and how magnetic activity on the sun is causing them.

In the event of cloudy weather, we will cancel that day's viewing. That's why we have booked 5 dates; we expect that we will have suitable weather for approximately half of them. We'll make the decision no later than 9:30am on the day of the viewing.
