Folkinfusion

It is six years since Folkinfusion’s inception. Folkinfusion is comprised of Margi Ferguson, Tracey Hutchison, and Renee McGinnis. Various instruments are explored by the Folkinfusion gals, including voice, guitar, mandolin, a selection of bass including 1/4 bass, electric and U-bass, all sizes of ukulele being baritone, tenor, concert and soprano (banjolele), melodica, percussion and harmonica. Folkinfusion love to ‘folkify’ covers and are also enjoying bringing more of their own original songs to audiences. Folkinfusion’s funky sound is best described as Indie Folk. We all love the journey music has taken us on and continue to evolve our sound. We are very grateful for the fabulous folk we meet along the way, and the fun collaborations that come from our expanding skills and connections. In 2025, Folkinfusion are grateful for the various opportunities to play across Aotearoa including Invercargill, The Catlins, Dunedin, Rakiura (Stewart Island) and Auckland. We hope to see you at our gig.
