Planning: Pelican Run (Date TBD)

Date and time to be updated. Details are from a previous ride years ago.

The Pelican Run is a ride my late friend, Randy the X-Man, used to do with PNW Road Riders to the famous Pelican Brewery in Pacific City, OR and did this last with him in 2008. We brought the ride back for the Great 2017 Eclipse and it's time to head back again. Think PNWRR used to do in April, but want nice weather so moving it to Aug. Welcome to make your way down on Saturday if you can't make it on Friday (time subject to change). ~Claudette "Diva"

Did this in 2017, great rides to do again, may be in the other direction:
https://goo.gl/maps/1yNeztezc9p (Tour of the South ) - 3:50, 162 miles

From my original ride with PNWRR in 2008:
Lunch at Humps Restaurant, 50 W Columbia River Hwy (US 30), Clatskanie, OR 97016, (503) 728-2626

This ride looks real good! It's great to have locals planning the route:
"We'll shake up the route a little, but do a lot of the same roads. They're good enough to keep repeating! :-)

Day-1

It's about 165 miles, taking in a lot of the best roads we have in the area! You won't be disappointed. :-)

Day-2 could look something like this...

This is about a 180 mile route from Pacific City back to the I-5 Interstate Bridge over the Columbia River. It covers spectacular roads pretty much all the way to Salem, where you pick up the I-5 to slab it back to Seattle. There are, of course, back roads that can be taken all the way back to Portland. :-)"
