DON’T MISS our JUNE SUNDAY STROLL - yet another fascinating meander around our lovely area in conjunction with Moorside & District Historical Society! This time we’ll be strolling back in time with a tour of Sholver and Moorside’s schools past and present 📚✏️📖🏫
We’ll be learning how schools have shaped our area to this day, with fascinating archival material presented along the way by our star walk leader, Mike Smith. Come share your memories of going to school in the area whilst finding out about the FIRST school in Moorside! It’s a lovely way to feel more connected with your community. Bring your family, reunite with old school mates, get out in the fresh air and sunshine and get your steps in - all while making new friends and learning more about your local area! 🌞🥪🥾🥾
This will be a roughly 4 mile route lasting around 2h. The route is on road and recognised footpaths. We are a warm and friendly group and members support each other along Sunday Stroll routes, but we cannot take liability for walkers’ wellbeing - please ensure you have appropriate clothing and footwear, and are confident the route is suited to your abilities 😊
Dogs on leads are welcome. Bring along a drink and snack, and don’t forget your camera 📸 RSVP to secure your spot now!!
