Intro to Tapestry Weaving - Wednesday Nights in Downtown Everett, WA

Tapestry is one of the oldest forms of woven textiles and remains a popular and contemporary art form. A simple frame loom (kits can be purchased at Artisans PNW!) is the perfect introduction to tapestry weaving and expressing your creativity in yarn. In this introductory class, you will learn the basics of tapestry weaving and experience the joy of covering your warp with gorgeous yarns, textures, and shapes!

Throughout the course, you will learn how to warp a simple frame loom, weave with different techniques and shapes, explore color and texture, remove your work from the loom, and mount it for display.

A variety of yarns will be provided for the class to use communally, but please bring any chunky yarns you may want to work with.

No experience is necessary. Adults and older children are welcome in this class.

This fee covers the cost of 6 hours of instruction over two 3-hour sessions and additional weaving materials.

NOT INCLUDED:
-Loom and weaving tools (kits can be purchased at Artisans PNW!)
