Audition Prep Workshop

So many actors would love the opportunity to practice their monologues in front of their peers and receive feedback, as well as otherwise develop their audition skills. Join us for this free audition prep workshop.

If you wish to participate, please sign up using the TICKETS button (you don't need a ticket). If you wish to simply attend, we look forward to you showing up.

Things we will cover include:

• What are you auditioning for? Play/role/etc.
• Why have you chosen this piece? What about it speaks to you?
• Audition etiquette. (Slating, wardrobe, audition notices, materials, etc.)
• Working the piece. (Beats, objective, scene partner, etc.)
• Practice cold reading skills with partners through provided scenes.
• How to receive feedback and direction in the moment.
• What roles are you suited for? (Dealing with type casting, how you are perceived)
• Pieces to have at the ready in your book.
• Creating your portfolio and repertoire.

Note that we will not be assisting with song auditions on the inaugural November 10 workshop, but we plan to include audition song review in our future workshops.
