𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲
The Royal Australian Navy Jazz Group comprises seven of Navy's finest musicians performing their own distinct versions of the great jazz repertoire from the 40’s to the present. Their diverse repertoire of vocal and instrumental jazz ranges from classic Jazz, Swing, New Orleans and Latin American standards, as well as visiting some of the great tunes of the pop era by such iconic names as Burt Bacharach and the Beatles.
The band represents the Royal Australian Navy nationally and around the world at concerts, community events and official Government functions, and have performed at many Australian jazz festivals such as the Wangaratta International Jazz Festival and the Devonport Jazz Festival. The RAN Jazz Ensemble have shared the stage with many world renowned musicians including Don Burrows, James Morrison and Katie Noonan and have entertained Prime Ministers and Royalty.
The RAN Jazz Ensemble continues a proud tradition of representing the Royal Australian Navy.
